Caye Chapel Golf Resort was the first 18-hole course on the small island of Belize since the British colonial days. The fairways and the front nine are quite narrow due to the small width of the island. The golf course offers a fun and challenging game that will test even the most skilled golfers. Lakes come into play on all the fairways and there are doglegs throughout the course, although there are more on the back nine. The gusty trade winds also add some difficulty to the course. In addition to being player friendly, the course is also environmentally friendly. The developers of Caye Chapel Golf Resort imported a unique hybrid grass that requires less fertilizer, pesticides, and irrigation to maintain.
