Cariari Country ClubCariari Country Club has a challenging layout that plays along rolling hills that lie 1,000 meters above sea level. The golf course, formerly a coffee plantation before being turned into a golf course in the 70's, features dense tropical forest throughout that provides shade and scenery but also proves to be a difficult element of the course. The fairways are narrow and the large greens are well protected by numerous sand traps. Due to the undulating terrain, some of the downhill greens move very fast and some landing areas are uphill. Strong winds also affect play on the course. Cariari Country Club has fewer than 200 members, making the course one of the least crowded in the area.
