Situated along the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic, Guavaberry Golf & Country Club infused the natural coral rock formations, gently sloped hillsides, and indigenous flora of the landscape into its design so that the course would blend seamlessly with the scenic tropic environment. In addition to the natural hazards, Gary Player, the designer, created deep sand traps and massive waste bunkers that require both skill and strategy. The fairways are wide and the greens have a gentle undulation. Guavaberry Golf & Country Club's last hole is notably difficult, requiring a long, accurate drive over a coralline garden and through strong winds to a small, well protected green.
