Founded in 1918, Mayan Golf Club is the oldest course in Central America. Both the Sea of Cortez and the scenic Lake Amatitlan border this nine-hole golf course, offering spectacular views. The Pacaya volcano, which is constantly erupting, is also nearby. The course has a lush, verdant landscape of trees and natural vegetation. It is ideal for families and casual golfers. Mayan Golf Club's seventh hole is notable both for its challenging qualities and the scenery it offers. On this hole, golfers have a panoramic view of ocean and mountains, but they also face a large lake to the left and a lateral sand trap to the back.
