Black Pearl Golf Course at Pristine Bay Resort, located on the island of Roatan off the coast of Honduras, has a scenic oceanfront location that provides glimpses of the world's second largest barrier reef, the Meso-American Barrier Reef. Pete Dye designed the course, which begins on the water and then climbs up the island's rolling foothills. The layout features Dye's signature island greens that will challenge even advanced golfers. Water hazards and bunkers are also strategically placed throughout for added difficulty. In addition to the Black Pearl Golf Course, the Pristine Bay Resort offers extensive practice facilities including a short game area and multiple putting and chipping greens.

The course is very nice, but I felt as though I got cheated.... I payed $189, just for green fee then $40 for rental clubs, they did not rent shoes, the caddie was extra, no map of the course anywhere, not even on the score card. I recently found out that the fees are $95 w/a cart & caddie.... Interesting!

i plyed this course in march 2010 and i am a scrath golfer and i have to say my cousin, brother and myself had to think very hard to make birdies. The views are awesome and the people of the island is wonderful and great food.I recomend WOODS PLACE. in the main city i had ox tails and roatan style shrimps. But the golf course is wonderful it put my home course here in texas to shame.I will return.........
