Coamo Springs Golf & Tennis Club is located at the center of a prehistoric volcano, providing scenic views of the surrounding mountains as well as the rustic countryside. The verdant landscape is quite hilly and there are three natural lakes that come into play on a few holes. Strong breezes also prove to be a challenge, often causing golfers to re-think their strategies. Coamo Springs Golf & Tennis Club's undulating greens vary in size and there are often bunkers guarding them for added challenge. The last hole is particularly notable for its difficulty; it is a par-4 that plays from an elevated tee across to a bi-level fairway before finally reaching a heavily bunkered green.

Perhaps one of the best designed golf courses in Puerto Rico. However, it has no driving range available for practice before the round (the course “pro” won’t even let you get close to it for some strange reason and if he let you use it, forget about it!... is to far away from the first tee anyway…); markings on the fairways are not well located; greens are magnificently located and designed but their maintenance is very, very poor. Water oasis are ridiculously tiny and terribly designed (they are the right size good for a dwarf, though, no disrespect… is just the truth); it does not have a pro-shop, just some overpriced balls; they won’t provide tees, bottled water, towel or any other standard stuff that you may get in a top of the line Island golf course but compensate with the low green fee though. The clubhouse staff is very limited but good enough for the amount of players that go there on a daily basis. However, the course “pro” is a joke. Don’t expect to get well treated by him… It is a good and cheap golf course to spend a morning or an afternoon and it has the potential to become one of the top courses in the Caribbean. I just need to get some details fixed regarding staff and facilities, a range a real “pro” that will help to get player to the golf course instead of chasing them away…..
