Located on the grounds of the Office of the Governor of the Turks & Caicos Island in 1998, Waterloo Golf Club was built by several volunteers, including the Governor himself who designed the course. The golf course is host to several golf events and competitions throughout the year. This beachside, nine-hole course may seem exclusive, but play is open to the public and there is a flat-rate green fee per day, no matter how many times you play. Given the reasonable rates, Waterloo Golf Club is a popular choice among tourists looking for a casual game but due to its small size, the number of players allowed on the course is limited.

In winter of 2011, we taxied from cruise ship to course. No one in pro shop-bartender said go take a trolley and play. Found a trolley with two wheels and could not find the course. Finally, we walked through the tennis court and found what looked like a tee box. However, we could not find a fairway nor a green to hit to. So we just hit some balls and made up our own course. We really expected to find goats grazing on the "course". After twenty minutes we called for a cab to take us back to the ship.
